Transforming Teams was built on the premise that it’s more important to understand what you’re giving to the world than what you’re receiving from it. We believe that by focusing on helping others, we’ll always be just fine.
So, long before we had our fist revenue goal, we had a charity goal. And before we had a marketing plan, we had a long list of ideas relating to how we could interact with charities and the broader community. We work to remain commercially viable so that we can keep doing good deeds as an organisation. It makes us want to come to work each day, and makes us happier facilitators.
We believe that engaging with others makes giving more valuable, so we don’t just pick up the telephone and supply our credit card details; instead we build our giving around engagement by:
We also like to encourage normal people to do extraordinary things. When a Perth couple started working with Balinese children to help them achieve their dreams, we saw their results and decided to sponsor two children. We specifically chose this organisation because it takes the time to provide ongoing personal attention to each child and doesn’t just stop at paying school fees.
In 2010 we gave back over $30,000 worth of services, products and donations to charitable organisations. Our Giving Back goal for 2011 is in excess of $100,000.
Fortunately, much of what we docreates a butterfly effect; with benefits enduring long after our direct involvement has ended.
We're always looking for creative and effective ways to achieve, and exceed, our Giving Back goal. For example, in 2011, in addition to our usual charitable deeds, we plan to work with furniture retailers to help furnish a number of shelters. And what better way to spend a team building day than to complete challenges to earn tools and materials to build furniture for those in need?
We'd like to hear from charities that need a hand as well as organisations that want to work with us to make a difference. Whether it means gifting your employees with a fun-filled socially-minded program, or donating products or services that we can work into what we do,it will all help … and that's exactly what we're about.
Fill in the form and one of our team will be in contact with you as soon as possible.
