Studies have shown that the majority of problems encountered at work are related to a breakdown in communication. Furthermore, rising workplace diversity, globalisation and advanced technologies that boost the pace and efficiency of business,create ever-increasing possibilities for mistakes and misunderstandings.
Although conflict may not be all bad, the majority of destructive conflict situations can easily be prevented. Working on our communication and interpersonal skills will enable us to both prevent destructive conflict situations and leverage positive outcomes from constructive conflicts.
This one day facilitated program will not just produce better communicators, but people who appreciate and value differences, search for win-win solutions, and know how to get the best out of themselves and others.The workshop explores topics such as learning, communication and listening, interpersonal skills, perspective, and empathy, with a focus on preventing misunderstandings and encouraging an open mind.
Not all conflict can or should be prevented though, so the workshop also explores communication techniques for conflict situations, functional and dysfunctional roles that may be adopted in conflict settings, and how to manage conflict to encourage creativity, problem solving and team development.
The day is packed with plenty of theory and enjoyable activities to put new skills and ideas into practice.
